Protoshop brings together designers and businesses. To be held for the fourth time, Protoshop is an event that highlights bold new design and the people behind it, and seeks business partners and manufacturing channels for designers. Ideas discovered through an open application process will be developed into prototypes and presented at a special exhibition. The selection criteria are insight and topicality. Protoshop constitutes a brief and representative sample of innovative contemporary design.
Protoshop is produced by the designer group Imu Design and the Finnish Fair Corporation. In operation since 2002, Imu Design has produced exhibitions in Helsinki, London, New York and Milan, and its founding members are Elina Aalto, Krista Kosonen and Saara Renvall.
